To give you a taste of the training you can expect when you join my Club, here’s one of my four workouts that feature in this week’s programme. It’s a seven-move chest and triceps session that will hit the target muscles through different angles and different rep ranges to elicit the optimal muscle-growth response. Give it a go and you won’t be disappointed – trust me, I’ve done it already and the pump was fantastic!

How to do my Training Club workout

This session is made up of six exercises. The first three moves are straight sets: do the exercises in order, sticking to the sets, reps, tempo (the time you take to do each stage of each rep) and rest periods detailed.

The fourth and fifth move are paired into a superset. Do the reps of the first set of the first move, rest for the stated time (short rest), then do all the reps of the first set of the second move. Rest for the stated time (longer rest), then repeat the superset for the stated number of sets.

The sixth and final move is a Fat-Loss Finisher: a high-intensity cardio-resistance drill designed to send your heart rate soaring to torch more calories.

Warm-up: Machine chest press

Warm-Up Sets: Start with a light weight for the first warm-up set, then increase the weight with each subsequent warm-up set as the number of reps per set decreases.

How to do a press-up burpee
• Stand tall with your back straight, and arms by your sides.
• Drop your body so your palms are on the floor with your knees up by your chest.
• Thrust your feet back and behind your torso so that your body forms a straight line from head to heels. Then do a press-up.
• Jump your knees back under your body, then jump up into the air as high as you can.
• As you land, go straight into the next rep.
