Andy Jackson, 39, from Lincoln in the United Kingdom, couldn’t believe how good he started to look and feel once he started his own New Body Plan – and he lost 5kg in just eight weeks!
How did you hear about New Body Plan?
I’ve followed [co-creator] Joe Warner on social media for a number of years and when I saw the announcement about the launch of New Body Plan, I followed with interest for a few months before deciding to take the plunge and sign up.
What made you take the plunge?
I needed some structure, both in terms of nutrition as well as a workout plan. The internet is a minefield of information, and misinformation, and there’s so much conflicting advice out there that it becomes confusing and you get a bit lost in it all. Joe’s experience of being through an impressive transformation himself made it an easy choice to purchase this plan, and having a workout programme to follow, along with a clearly laid out nutrition plan, was exactly what I needed to get myself in shape.
How would you describe your fitness before New Body Plan?
I’ve been an avid gym-goer for a number of years but my trouble was that I was never truly consistent with either my workouts or my diet. I’ve tended to eat well for fours days a week – from Monday to Thursday – and then relax (a little too much, if I’m honest) over the weekend, which undid all the good work from the first part of the week.
How soon after starting New Body Plan did you notice positive changes?
Within the first two weeks I had experienced noticeable differences, both in how I looked and how I felt. I no longer felt bloated after eating, and I had much more energy to get through the workouts. I was getting better-quality sleep on the whole, and was no longer waking up during the night.
What was the most surprising part of doing New Body Plan?
The speed of the results is something that I really never expected. I was only half-way through my plan when all of a sudden my t-shirts were tight in all the right places – shoulders, chest and arms – and much baggier around my stomach. I was losing fat and gaining a decent amount of muscle which gave me incredible motivation for the second half of the programme.
How did the New Body Plan approach to nutrition work for you?
I really enjoyed the nutrition side of things to the point where I didn’t feel like I was on a diet. To be able to eat foods that you think are off-limit during a diet was refreshing, and made it much easier for me to stay on track and eat with such variety.
What was your overall experience of the New Body Plan?
My transformation was above and beyond what I expected to achieve in such a short space of time – my weight went from 77kg to 72kg. My experience was nothing but positive, and the plan is set up in a very easy-to-use format. I loved the workouts, there were challenging but really satisfying, and I loved that all the hard work had been done for me is detailing the programme: all I had to do was turn up and do the sessions. I operate best when I have structure in my life and New Body Plan gave me the structure I needed in the gym. I also found the support and encouragement that I received on social media, both from Jon Lipsey and Joe, as well as other people doing their own New Body Plans, to be a huge support and source of motivation too.
Would you recommend New Body Plan to others?
The wealth of knowledge and expertise in the New Body Plan team, plus the proven results so many other people have achieved following the plan, means that I’d have no hesitation in recommending New Body Plan to others. I just wish I’d done it sooner!
